Voters Can Prepare for Super Tuesday With Coverage of Health Care Issues in 2008 Presidential Election at GoHealth Insurance

With voters in more than 20 states gearing up to vote in the presidential primaries on Super Tuesday, Feb. 5, voters can compare and contrast the health care policies of the leading presidential candidates on GoHealth Insurance, a new website providing an overview of the candidates' positions on health care. Election 2008: Reforming Health Care will give undecided voters a chance to learn more about one the biggest issues in this year's upcoming election.
The Election 2008 website features:
An overview of the health care reform debate
Profiles of each candidate's health care platform
An interactive tool to compare the candidate's views on health care head-to-head
"There are still so many undecided voters, and health care is one of their big issues," said Clint Jones, CEO of Norvax, Inc., the parent company of GoHealth Insurance. "There's a lot of heated debate right now. Our goal is to help people understand the candidate's plans, making it easier to decide where they stand on this important issue."
While the website contains profiles for the candidates in both major parties, GoHealth Insurance is not endorsing any particular candidate. "Our goal with this website is to educate voters, so they can decide for themselves," said Jones.
Visitors to the site can use the interactive comparison tool to see at a glance how each candidate's platform measures up against another's. For example, visitors can easily see how Republican Mitt Romney's health care proposal compares to Democrat Hillary Clinton's proposal. Candidates are compared on how their proposal affects private coverage, public programs, insurance affordability, and taxes. The comparison tool also summarizes the candidates' overall goals for the U.S. health care system.
Visitors who are interested in exploring their own health insurance options can use GoHealth Insurance's online tools to browse plans, compare leading insurance companies, connect with local agents, and compare quotes online. GoHealth Insurance specializes in providing quotes for individual health insurance, but also provides quotes for group health plans and life insurance.
"We're trying to make insurance more accessible and easier to understand. Education is a big part of that goal," said Jones.
