TORONTO - The Children's Aid Society says it has received more than 80 offers from individuals or families wishing to adopt a baby girl found in a Toronto stairwell.
The girl, dubbed Angelica-Leslie, was found abandoned last week in a cold mall parking lot stairwell. No one has yet come forward to identify the infant, and police are still trying to track down the parents.
The Children's Aid Society says due to the flood of adoption applications, they're not accepting any more right now for Angelica-Leslie.
But they want to remind the public that there are many other children waiting to be adopted.
Angelica-Leslie is now in a foster home and reported to be doing well.
