New Riverside Medical Center Website Reaches Out to the Community
Posted on: Wednesday, 6 February 2008, 03:00 CST
Riverside Medical Center has launched an all new website that aims to foster community outreach and increase awareness about the variety of services available through their centers. Riverside Medical Center has serviced the southern suburban counties of Chicago since 1964. Heart care, cancer care, neurosurgery, and orthopedics are just a few of the leading programs of this nationally recognized and award-winning center.
Riverside's expertise and industry knowledge have been leveraged to create a searchable health information database, providing information on everything from allergies to robotic surgery. Website visitors can tour the facilities, peek into the online nursery, and find healthcare providers through the Physician Finder, which offers an intimate portrait of the staff of medical professionals and how they can best serve patients. Meet the Faces of Riverside is another dynamic feature of the new and improved site. This forum offers Riverside professionals a chance to share their philosophies and Riverside patients an opportunity to share their stories.
Crystal Senesac, Marketing and Public Relations Manager at Riverside, captures the mission of the project, "The investment in the website has been a labor of love. Our goal is for patients to experience the full gamut of knowledge and information that they find at our centers from the comfort of their own home."
There is much more than information about services on the new website; an up to date calendar of events gives patients the opportunity to take an active, informed role in their health and well being. Riverside's HeartFest 2008: Your Heart's in the Right Place, scheduled to take place on February 23, 2008, will include sessions such as basic tips for healthy eating through cooking demonstrations. A professional chef and dietician are just a few of the experts participating in the event.
"It doesn't matter if you're trying to lose weight, aiming to lower your cholesterol, or establishing a healthier diet," says Riverside Director of Marketing and Public Relations Carl Maronich, "the opportunity to improve your health is a constant. Our programs and our new website are designed to create lifelong learners in our patients, fully vesting them in the longevity of their health."
