In honor of all pregnant and breastfeeding women in the community, the Putnam County WIC Program is hosting a baby shower.

The celebration will be held at the Valley Health Putnam County WIC office, from 2 to 4 p.m. on March 19.

The office is located at the Putnam Village Shopping Center in Teays Valley.

Guest speakers will include WSAZ news anchor Penny Moss and Yvonne Snyder, CFNP with the South Charleston Pediatric Group.

There will be refreshments, games, prizes and conversation.

There will be representatives from programs such as Right From The Start, March of Dimes, Birth to Three, Tobacco Quit Line, Mountain Health Trust and Unicare Health Plan of W.Va., among others.

The baby shower is for all Putnam County WIC women who are breastfeeding or pregnant and planning to breastfeed.

It is also open to people who do not receive WIC benefits.
