High-Quality Healthcare Extends to the Warehouse With IRMS Implementation at Sutter Health
Posted on: Thursday, 7 February 2008, 09:01 CST
Integrated Warehousing Solutions, LLC, a leading provider of supply chain execution solutions, announced today that Sutter Health has selected the IRMS.net Warehouse Management System for implementation. Sutter Health ($7.3 Billion in sales) is a family of not-for-profit hospitals and physician organizations serving more than 100 communities in Northern California and more than 2 million patients in the most recent fiscal year. Sutter Health doctors and hospitals are regional leaders in pediatric, obstetrical, heart and cancer care.
Sutter Health will use IRMS.net, deployed on Microsoft's SQL Server integrated to their Lawson ERP, to increase warehouse productivity and efficiencies while increasing inventory/asset visibility across the enterprise. Don McMann, vice president of Logistics, states that "We expect a minimum 30% increase in our warehousing facilities with the implementation of the IRMS system." Using radio frequency (RF) and barcode technology, Sutter Health will also increase both inventory and order accuracy to well over 99.9%. Additionally, the IRMS solution will provide Sutter Health with FDA validated Lot Control, expiration date tracking, multiple units of measure disbursement, system-driven replenishment, detailed reporting and analytics. "We are delighted to have Sutter Health join our Life Sciences account offering and look forward to our role in their continued commitment to quality and execution," Carl Brewer, president of Integrated Warehousing Solutions, said.
