Feb. 14–There will be a whole lot of soul at “The 39th NAACP Image Awards” (Fox, 8 p.m.) tonight, broadcast live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Aretha Franklin will receive the NAACP Vanguard Award, and Stevie Wonder will be inducted into the NAACP Image Awards Hall of Fame at the event, hosted by D.L. Hughley.

The film “The Great Debaters” is up for the most awards, eight, including outstanding motion picture and outstanding actor and director for Denzel Washington.

Among TV shows, two comedies on The CW — “Everybody Hates Chris” and “Girlfriends” — lead all nominees. America Ferrera, Vanessa L. Williams, Jordin Sparks, Regina Taylor and Richard T. Jones are scheduled to make appearances.

Remote Patrol Locke is still holding his hostage on “Lost” (ABC, 9 p.m.) and Kate and Sayid want to negotiate.

Lorraine Bracco begins her run as a bullying book agent on “Lipstick Jungle” (NBC, 10:01 p.m.).

Billy Baldwin, Jenna Jameson and John Rich are among the people who show up when the remaining cast of “Celebrity Apprentice” (NBC, 9 p.m.) starts a horse-and-carriage business.

Remaining models get lessons in acting on a new “Make Me a Supermodel” (Bravo, 10 p.m.), preceded by two earlier episodes.

Romance stirs on “Survivor: Micronesia” (CBS, 8 p.m.) and not because it’s Valentine’s Day.

If you were looking for romance on TV, though, you’ll have to make do with “Romancing the Stone” (Fox Movies, 8 p.m.), “My Date With the President’s Daughter” (Disney, 8:15 p.m.) and the recent “Bridal Fever” (Hallmark, 9 p.m.).

More often, you’ll find things like “Love Stinks” (TMC, 8 p.m.), “Fight Club” (Cinemax, 7:30 p.m.) and “The Break-Up” (Cinemax, 10 p.m.).

Valentine’s Day is supposedly the theme of “Cathouse: Come to the Party!” (HBO, 11 p.m.), but I’m thinking it’s more about the activity of legal brothels. Also on the edge is “Trantasia” (Showtime, 9:30 p.m.) examining a beauty pageant for transsexuals.

Partying is not part of the plan on “Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew” (VH1, 10 p.m.) on a day when family members visit.

Musicals from the ’60s are highlighted on Turner Classic Movies, starting with two starring Barbra Streisand — “Hello Dolly!” (8 p.m.) and “Funny Girl” (10:30 p.m.) — and one with Audrey Hepburn, “My Fair Lady” (1:15 a.m.).

The second half of John Fogerty’s concert on “Soundstage” (WGBY, Channel 57, 10 p.m.) includes “Fortunate Son.”

The last NBA doubleheader before the All-Star break features Miami at Chicago (TNT, 8 p.m.) and Dallas at Phoenix (TNT, 10:30 p.m.).

Late Talk David Letterman: Regis Philbin. Craig Ferguson: Evangeline Lilly, Adam Goldberg, Bebel Gilberto.
