Grand Opening Set for New Life Time Fitness Center in Commerce Township, Michigan, on March 4

Large, State-of-the-Art Center Offers 24-Hour Sports and Athletics, Professional Fitness, Family Recreation and Resort/Spa Programming and Services Designed for Entire Family

Life Time Fitness, Inc. (NYSE:LTM), a national operator of large and distinctive health and fitness centers, today announced that its newest sports and athletics, professional fitness, family recreation and resort/spa center, located in Commerce Township, Michigan, will host a Grand Opening celebration on Friday, March 4, 2005.

Honoring the event, Commerce Township officials and Life Time Fitness representatives will offer a special ribbon-cutting ceremony, facility tours, and multiple activities for adults and children, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., showcasing all of the unique amenities that the new, category-redefining center has to offer.

Life Time Fitness - Commerce Township marks the Company's sixth health and fitness center in the Detroit area and its 40th nationally. The new location also represents one of the Company's large, 109,000 square foot model centers being built nationally, offering 24-hour access to more than 400 pieces of state-of-the-art cardio, resistance and free-weight training equipment, along with a multitude of amenities.

Amenities include multiple group fitness studios with free classes, a team of certified personal trainers and programming, a wide selection of adult and youth programs and activities, rock climbing walls, two full-size basketball courts, squash and racquetball courts, a mind and body studio, dry sauna and free towels and lockers. The center also sports a large indoor/outdoor aquatics center, featuring multiple, two-story waterslides, two large, zero-depth recreation pools, a lap pool and children's interactive play area, two whirlpools and an outdoor bistro.

Families will appreciate Life Time Fitness' large child center, featuring free childcare, a play maze, computer center, separate infant playroom, and numerous children's activities. Dedicated family locker rooms also are available.

Furthermore, members can take advantage of LifeSpa, which delivers a full range of hair, nail and skin care services, and therapeutic massage, and LifeCafe, which offers the best in nutritional food and beverage services.

The Grand Opening celebration will feature food and beverage sampling in the LifeCafe and guests will have the opportunity to register for a free Gift Basket from LifeSpa.

Life Time Fitness - Commerce Township will officially open for workouts at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 5. The new center is located at 2901 Commerce Boulevard in Commerce, Michigan.
