Misys Healthcare Systems (FTSE: MSY.L), a market leader in healthcare IT, today announced that nearly 80 additional healthcare providers within multiple practices nationwide will utilize Misys solutions in various healthcare settings. New and existing customers welcome the adoption of Misys solutions, including Misys EMR®, Misys Tiger® and Misys Homecare™, which will allow them to improve office efficiency and productivity allowing clinical staff to spend more time focused on patient care.
"Over the past several months we've noticed a change in our customer contracts, with providers purchasing several Misys applications for use within a single practice to combat multiple inefficiencies, such as scheduling, patient record management and billing, as well as electronic medical records," said Mike Etue, senior vice president of sales, Misys Healthcare Systems. "Healthcare providers realize greater results from implementing solutions that work together and we are committed to helping our customers create a connected office and ultimately bring the theory of a connected community to reality."
Misys' industry-leading solutions have been the cornerstone of several successful community connectivity projects, allowing patient data to flow throughout the community. Care providers, continue to invest in Misys EMR, practice management and homecare solutions based on usability and ability to integrate with other solutions beyond the four walls of the practice. Recent customer implementations include:
Lumberton Children's Clinic, a 19-provider practice in Lumberton, North Carolina and one of three facilities under the parent organization Children's Health of Carolina, P.A. recently upgraded its entire patient records system with the latest version of Misys EMR, expanding its use for more physicians. Additionally, the clinic upgraded its practice management system to Misys Tiger for increased efficiency.
Angel Home Health & Hospice purchased Misys Homecare 4.0, including Point of Care tablets for clinicians, as part of a major transition from paper charts to an electronic medical record system. The Franklin, North Carolina-based group needed a solution to support both home health and hospice staff.
McAllen Surgeons, LLP, a nine-provider general surgery group with offices in McAllen, Edinburg, Weslaco and Rio Grande City, Texas purchased Misys Tiger and Misys EMR. McAllen Surgeons, one of the largest groups of surgeons in the Rio Grande Valley plans to implement Misys EMR in each practice to ensure the ability to seamlessly share clinical and office information. Implementations began in early January.
Central Wyoming Neurosurgery, the largest neuroscience and spine medical practice in the state of Wyoming, purchased Misys EMR and Misys Tiger to manage practice patient records and operations. After evaluating several solutions, the practice selected Misys based on its strong relationship with the sales and support teams.
