JENNIFER ANISTON

Jen’s a fan of high-protein, low-carbohydrate diets, and aims to keep to a ratio of 40% carbohydrate, 30%protein, and 30%fat to maintain her slinky figure.

Since following it she’s says: "It was amazing to see this other body emerge. I never knew I had it in me."

Her example has led her celeb ‘friends’ such as Matt LeBlanc, Madonna, Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Perry and Winona Ryder to copy the plan.

Mother-of-three Victoria admits that during her third pregnancy with her son Cruz she adored fatty food.

Her tip for shedding those post-baby pounds (in her case invisible to the naked eye – she reportedly has a 23 ins waist and is a UK size 4) is to follow a Mediterranean diet which she discovered while living in Spain.

She includes lots of fresh vegetables and salads, olive oil, paella, and omelettes and some meaty dishes so the whole family enjoy it.

SOPHIE DAHL

Sophie, 30, was once hailed as one of the curviest models around; she was actually a size 14 but was considered large by catwalk standards.

She slimmed down a couple of years, apparently by not eating protein and carbohydrates in the same meal.

She also eats at least one protein and one carbohydrate meal per day, and plenty of vegetables and salad.

She highlights whole meal toast, grilled chicken, risot to and fruit salad as her tasty top tips.

GOLDIE HAWN

The Hollywood star is 62 but she still has an enviable figure and rock-solid family life. She’s been with actor Kurt Russell for 24 years.

As well as working out in her home gym she follows a wheat-free, sugar-free and dairy-free diet and swears by ‘green juice’.

It’s a fresh vegetable juice made from celery, kale, parsley and green peppers. Get a juicer and try making a Goldie style concoction (if you’re unused to drinking large quantities of fresh juice limit yourself to a maximum of three 240ml portions daily when you start.)

LIZ HURLEY

Legend has it that model, actress, and mother-of-one Liz, 42, claimed snacking on a banana or six raisins helped keep her enviably trim.

The reality is revealed…

Water cress soup.

"It’s fatless, low-calorie, full of vitamins and iron and delicious enough to serve at a dinner party. I drink at least six cups a day when I want to lose a few pounds," she says.

There’s a seven-day diet based around the soup, which claims to result in a loss of 4.5kg without hunger pangs.

Celebrity diet tips for a top body: Angelina Jolie staves off hunger pangs by snacking on Cheerios.

Jennifer Lopez ‘eats ‘little and often’ – eight mini-meals a day.

Paris Hilton has porridge for breakfast.

Claudia Schiffer exercises her upper arms by going clay-pigeon; Kate Moss burns off calories by horse riding.

Geri Halli well tones her body by jumping into an ice cold bath.

Myleene Klass keeps herself in trim by rollerblading.

Madonna, Cameron Diaz and Gwyneth Paltrow do ballet routines to keep themselves toned.
