"We are excited about launching our individual and family health plan products," said Michael M. Dudley, president of Optima Health. "These plans are affordable and flexible to meet the needs of consumers ranging from young people aged 19-24, to people transitioning between jobs, small business owners and early retirees. No matter what your stage of life, one of these plans will provide the peace of mind to consumers who won't have to worry about the financial risk associated with being uninsured," Dudley said. He added, "It's also an excellent option for small business owners who may have seasonal or part-time employees who are not covered under their group health plans."
Optima Health's new individual and family PPO plans will provide members with the freedom to choose their providers as well as the flexibility to move within Optima's provider network without seeking referrals. The three plans within the PPO portfolio are Optima FourSight, Optima Plus and Optima Equity.
Each of the plans encourages utilization of preventive care visits and screenings that help members maintain and improve their health. All of the plans provide prescription drug coverage.
The new plans from Optima Health are designed to appeal to consumers seeking different kinds of health plan coverage -- from those who desire the security and coverage to protect their assets in the event of a major accident or illness to those who may need health plan coverage for a short time while they are transitioning from one job to another to those active young people who simply need a safety net "just in case."
Among the options available are high deductible health plans that can be combined with tax advantaged health savings accounts (HSAs). Partnered with HealthEquity, Optima's HSA plans are fully integrated which makes it easier for the consumer to manage their HSA.
Optima's products include a full range of healthcare plans for large and small employer groups as well as individuals. Optima Health offers award- winning disease management programs that focus on issues such as diabetes, pregnancy, asthma and congestive heart failure management.(1)
