NHXS Signs a Contract With Crystal Run Healthcare to Provide Contract Compliance and Decision Support Solutions

Posted on: Friday, 29 February 2008, 15:00 CST

National Healthcare Exchange Services, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: NHCR), headquartered here, said today it signed a contract Crystal Run Healthcare LLP of Middletown, New York. Crystal Run will use eobResolve(TM) to improve contract compliance, revenue recovery, and decision support for its 124 physicians.

National Healthcare Exchange Services (NHXS) provides turnkey solutions to improve payment accuracy and reduce dispute resolution costs for physicians and hospitals. The NHXS rules engine maintains fee schedule, pricing, and clinical edit logic for each payor and automatically identifies and disputes underpayments.

According to Mark W. Rieger, CEO of NHXS, "There is a small but relevant error rate in the payment of medical claims due to the complex payment rules used. NHXS converts what is typically an expensive and tedious process to one that is simple and automatic.

"The goal with any contract compliance system should be to improve first EOB payment accuracy not to perpetuate a second revenue stream from recoveries. Every time the physician has to touch the claim, the cost of doing business increases. Timely and accurate feedback to the payor is essential," Rieger said.

In addition to eobResolve(TM), NHXS provides a number of solutions built around its payor specific payment rules engine. These include nhxsPricer(TM); a point of service patient responsibility calculator, and contractResolve(TM); a powerful contract negotiation and forecasting tool.
