WHAT: The 5th Annual Insurance Reform Summit will convene thought leaders to examine potential for a federal regulator in insurance, how the 2008 elections may affect the insurance industry and what climate change portends for risk management from a human health and environmental perspective
WHEN: Wednesday, March 5, 2008, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. WHERE: Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue Door, Washington DC
WHO: Dr. Howard Frumkin, Director of the National Center of Environmental Health will present landmark research conducted by Dr. Paul Epstein of Harvard University (11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) regarding the environment and health insurance risk
Morton Kondracke, editor, Roll Call and Journalist with Fox News, Co-host of the Beltway Boys will share insights into the 2008 elections and what they mean to the insurance industry during the luncheon address (1:00 to 1:45 p.m.)
Representatives from industry associations, Congress and academia will present legal and regulatory perspectives and present breaking research on changes pivotal to the insurance sector.
