Cub Scout Pack 725 recently bridged its Webelos II Cub Scouts to Boy Scout Troop 725.
Cub scouts making the transition to Boy Scouts included: William Busch, Joshua Able-Carter, James Diehl, Ian Essig, Timothy Hendrickson and Zachary Warnick.
Boy Scout Troop 725 meets at 7 p.m. every Tuesday at Glen Burnie United Methodist Church, 5 Second Ave. S.E. Boys ages 11 to 17 are welcome to join.

Dance tonight
The North County High School cheerleaders will sponsor a dance from 8 p.m. to midnight tonight at the Glen Burnie Moose Lodge, 1911 S. Crain Highway.
Tickets cost $35. Participants must be at least age 21.
The event includes music by a disc jockey, wheels of chance, a 50- 50 raffle and Jello shooters. A buffet dinner including roast beef, barbecue ribs, stuffed chicken breast, fried shrimp, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, green beans, fresh fruit, salad bar, pudding, Jello, beer wine and soda will be served.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used by the cheerleaders to purchase state championship rings.

Carryout dinner
Ferndale United Methodist Church will sponsor a carryout dinner from 11:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. tomorrow in the church fellowship hall, 117 Ferndale Road.
Each dinner costs $7 and includes a pot roast dinner with all the trimmings, a roll and butter and dessert.

Dinner bingo
The North Glen Improvement Association will sponsor a dinner bingo tomorrow in the community hall at 303 Wellham Ave.
The doors will open for seating at 12:30 p.m. Bingo games will begin at 1 p.m.
A chicken Parmesan dinner will be served during intermission.
Admission is $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Cash prizes of $20 for regular bingo games and $35 for special games will be awarded.
There will be a $100 jackpot special game played.

Scouting for food
Scouts from all over the Four Rivers District will be picking up donations of food for the annual Scouting for Food program today.
Plastic grocery store bags were distributed to homes last weekend. Those wishing to make a donation of non-perishable food items should place the food outside on their porch by 8 a.m.
Donations will be picked up between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. today.

Pascal Senior Center
Tenor Charles Sullivan will perform at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the Pascal Senior Center, 125 Dorsey Road. His musical performance will include songs made famous by Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole.
Admission is free and open to the public.
Joanne Dewilde will teach a belly dancing workshop at 12:30 p.m. Friday. The class is designed to promote flexibility and exercise while having fun. The class is free.
Pianist Helen Sank will lead a sing-along at 12:30 p.m. Friday.
A registered nurse will conduct a free glucose screening for diabetic seniors from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday. The service is offered to seniors who have been previously diagnosed with diabetes by a doctor. Blood pressures also will be checked.
Seniors will play Bunco at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and March 18. Those who would like to learn how to play the popular parlor game that uses dice should sign up in the center office.
Fitness instructor Louise Mulvey will be available by appointment to help center members develop a custom fitness program. The exercise program will be based on the participant’s general health and answers to a questionnaire. All seniors should get their doctor’s permission before starting a new exercise program.
Senior information specialist Wanda Swift will meet with seniors by appointment on Thursday to help them identify their needs, locate services and complete applications for assistance.
Blood pressures will be checked by a trained volunteer at 10 a.m. on Mondays in March.
Volunteers from the Maryland Association of Highway Safety Leaders will offer individual driving health inventory assessments for seniors age 60 and older by appointment only. The skills assessment is designed to help older drivers recognize the early warning signs of a loss in driving ability.

Trivia contest
Ravens Nest 10 will sponsor its monthly sports trivia contest at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Fireside Inn, 7400 Ritchie Highway.
There is no entry fee. Cash prizes will be awarded. The first place winner will receive $75, second place will get $50 and the third place finisher will receive $25.

The North County Christian Clergy’s ecumenical Lenten luncheon series will continue at noon Wednesday in the Holy Trinity Catholic Church hall, 7436 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd.
The theme of the six-week program is “Renewed for Life.” This week’s devotional message on “Grace” will be presented by the Rev. George Weitzel from Messiah United Methodist Church. Pastors from different north county churches will take turns presenting the devotional message.
A $4 donation is requested for the meal.
