Ville Marie Medical and Women's Health Center of Montreal to Implement VisualONCOLOGY
Posted on: Tuesday, 4 March 2008, 12:00 CST
VisualMED Clinical Solutions Corp. (the "Company") (OTCBB: VMCS) (FRANKFURT: VA6) announces the acquisition of VisualONCOLOGY, the state-of-the-art interactive electronic medical record (EMR) by the Ville Marie Medical and Women's Health Center of Montreal. The site will use VisualONCOLOGY for documentation of clinical care and tracking of patient examinations in its multidisciplinary Breast Center, a member of the National Consortium of Breast Centers. The integrated system will replace several first-generation stand-alone clinical applications. Implementation is starting immediately with an anticipated go-live as early as Q3 of this year. The Center will take advantage of VisualONCOLOGY's fully electronic documentation to free additional space for patient care, while VisualONCOLOGY's cohort-identification capabilities will contribute directly to clinical investigation.
"We are honored to have been selected to provide our oncology-specific EMR for the Ville Marie Center," said Dr. Alan Brox, Senior Physician at VisualMED, and the company's Director of Oncology Projects. "Implementing at one of the largest free-standing breast imaging centers in Canada is a challenge we look forward to in the months to come."
Dr. John Keyserlingk, Director of the Breast Center added, "We were attracted to the VisualONCOLOGY EMR because of its strengths in cohort identification and outcomes analysis. The fact that our facility runs on four floors makes it all the more important to move to electronic records and do away with chart tracking and misplaced records."
