Priority Health Signs Letter of Intent for QCSI's myhealthbank(R) Finance to Assist in Administration of its New Line of Consumer Engaged Healthcare Plans
Quality Care Solutions, Inc., (QCSI(R)), a leading provider of advanced information technology and enterprise application software and services for healthcare payors, announced today that Priority Health, a West Michigan based health plan, has selected QCSI's myhealthbank Finance software to assist in the administration of its Health Reimbursement Arrangement plans (HRAs). The myhealthbank Finance product will offer Priority Health clients the ability to create customized plan designs and offer multiple restricted cash accounts. In addition, the myhealthbank Finance software application from QCSI will be used to enhance the administration of Priority Health's Section 125 Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) plans.
"Priority Health is an organization driven to improve health by providing all people access to affordable and excellent health care," said James Slubowski, CIO for Priority Health. "By partnering with QCSI and implementing the myhealthbank Finance software application, we will be well positioned to deliver new benefit options for the consumer-engaged environment. The solid, user-friendly myhealthbank Finance software application combined with QCSI's exceptional domain expertise will be a valuable asset."
Rated one of the nation's "Top 10" health plans in customer satisfaction, Priority Health chose the myhealthbank Finance application to provide a high level of service through real-time access in administering integrated insurance and cash accounts. This capability is highly desirable for the consumer directed health insurance market, which commonly relies on the convenience and flexibility of the Web to empower consumers to manage their health care costs and finances.
"We are finding health plans and insurers are looking to get to market quickly with consumer-driven health care solutions to leverage heightened demand and interest in consumer directed plan designs. Our products and, as importantly, our domain expertise, help health plans meet this urgent goal," said Dave Engert, President and CEO of QCSI. "The selection of the myhealthbank Finance product by Priority Health is another example of the value QCSI products bring to health plans and insurers looking to capitalize on the business opportunities of this market."
myhealthbank Finance is part of QCSI's broad product suite for consumer directed healthcare that also includes myhealthbank Transact, Direct, and Navigator, which can be implemented independently or in tandem as a core enterprise platform. The myhealthbank product suite offers a Web-based, self-service platform for member enrollment, benefits administration; deep eligibility rules testing and membership maintenance for health plans, including defined contribution plans.
