FLORHAM PARK, N.J., March 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Managed Health Care Associates, Inc. (MHA) announces the completion of its inaugural Independent Long Term Care Member Study, the results of which will be revealed at the 2008 MHA Business Summit, March 27-28, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The report was compiled from an electronic member survey issued in 2007 and examined self-reported data for key operational elements of Independent Long Term Care pharmacies, including pharmacy size and capacity, staffing ratios, patient mix, occupancy rates, pharmaceutical budget, use of diverse technologies, and several other categories that are critical to running a Long Term Care Pharmacy.
An overview of study results, as well as details on survey methodology, will be delivered at the conference via open forum allowing time for audience Q&A.
"We believe this study is a first of its kind and should be of great interest to all in the Long Term Care Pharmacy industry," stated Michelle Templin, MHA's Regional Vice President of Long Term Care. "As the leading group purchasing and managed care contracting organization serving LTC pharmacies, MHA is uniquely positioned to gather the statistically significant responses required to carry out this survey. Members requested this type of data to compare themselves to their peer group and to recognize opportunities to improve efficiency. With MHA's commitment to help our members compete effectively, we are pleased to have received such a high response rate to our first survey and to provide our membership with this valuable study on their pharmacies and the industry as a whole. We intend to conduct this survey annually and thus be able to identify future changes occurring within Long Term Care pharmacy."
MHA Members attending the Business Summit will receive a complimentary copy of the Independent Long Term Care Member Study. All members not in attendance will be able to request a copy of the study directly through their National Account Manager. Non-members and other interested parties can obtain copies by contacting MHA's Marketing Department.
