National Pet Expert Steve Dale to Speak At Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine's 2008 Graduation

Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine is pleased to announce that Steve Dale, a nationally known pet expert whose newspaper columns and radio programs reach millions of pet lovers across the country each week, will speak at its 2008 graduation ceremony at the Theater at Madison Square Garden on Friday, June 6.
Mr. Dale is the author of the twice-weekly syndicated newspaper column "My Pet World" and is the host of the nationally syndicated radio shows "Steve Dale's Pet World" and "The Pet Minute with Steve Dale" as well as "Pet Central" on WGN Radio in Chicago. He is also a contributing editor at USA Weekend and a regular guest on a number of television programs including "The Oprah Winfrey Show,""National Geographic Explorer," and "Pets Part of the Family" on PBS, as well as shows on Animal Planet, Fox News Channel, and Balance TV in Canada.

Mr. Dale is also the author of the books "American Zoos" and "DogGone Chicago" and is a special correspondent for Cat Fancy magazine as well as editor-in-chief of PawPrints, a newsletter for veterinarians.
He is also an activist on behalf of animal-related causes and has been involved with numerous philanthropic pursuits in that regard including: organizing a Mardi Growl fundraiser for New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina; creating a fund through the Winn Feline Foundation to support research into feline heart problems, which has raised over $70,000; and teaming with the American Veterinary Medical Association to raise thousands of dollars through the "Pets for Afghan Kids" campaign.
