Allied Health Research Institute Announces Request for Applications for the 2008 Fellowships

The Allied Health Research Institute (AHRI), an academic and industry partnership vested with increasing the number of qualified allied health professionals, has announced a Request for Applications for AHRI Fellowships.
The three, $10,000 AHRI Fellowships will be awarded to faculty and staff from AHRI academic and industry members. Funds will be provided to support analyses of industry and academic databases that will facilitate improvements in rehabilitation policy and practices--especially in the areas of physical, occupational and speech therapy.
"We are delighted to offer the AHRI Fellowships to our member schools and businesses," said Dr. Andrew Balas, Chair of the AHRI Research Council. "The fellowships offer a dynamic opportunity to promote research and scholarship related to rehabilitation."
The Research Council Committee will consider requests for support in the following categories: personnel, equipment, computing, and travel. Other expenses such as consumable supplies, permission fees, publication costs, copying costs, are among the other types of support that may be approved by the Research Council.
