Vicki Romero Briggs, FACHE, Joins Provident Resources Group's National Consultants Council

Provident Resources Group, a nonprofit organization that assists in the development, ownership and operation of healthcare, housing and education facilities and public facilities and projects to lessen the burdens of state and local governments, announced Vicki Romero Briggs, FACHE,(1) has joined their National Consultants Council. Briggs brings more than thirty years of healthcare experience overseeing strategic, financial and managerial activities for medical centers.

"Vicki is a valuable addition to our National Consultants Council," said Steve Hicks, President and CEO of Provident Resources Group. "Her experience and expertise with major hospitals and regional medical systems will further advance Provident's mission of supporting quality healthcare. With her guidance, we plan to expand our efforts to help deliver more affordable healthcare services to the public." In addition to serving on the National Consultants Council, Briggs will provide consulting services to Provident in connection with its planned acquisition in late 2008 of a portfolio of more than 25 community hospitals in 10 states.

Briggs previously served as CEO of Birmingham, Ala.-based Trinity Medical Center (Triad Hospitals, Inc.). Before that, she served from 1980--1996 as member of the senior management team at Woman's Hospital in Baton Rouge, La., serving as its CEO for the last 10 years. Woman's Hospital in Baton Rouge, La., specializes in OB/Gyn services and offers a level III regional neonatal intensive care unit. Briggs is expert in strategic planning, communication, facility management, issues management and product line management.
