Emergisoft, a provider of healthcare information solutions, has announced that South Carolina-based McLeod Health has selected its EmergisoftED Emergency Department Information Systems to enhance patient care, increase patient safety, and allow the health care providers to focus on patient flow.
The Emergisoft's emergency department software is a web browser-based solution that automates each step of the patient management and patient documentation process in the ED.
Emergisoft claims that the EmergisoftED will be interfaced with Siemens Invision to allow the transfer of real-time patient information and clinical data. The system will also interface with the Sunquest lab system to provide real-time lab results status and alerting.
Joseph DeSilva, CEO of Emergisoft, said: "We value the opportunity to work with McLeod Health to support the challenging work of their emergency services. As emergency departments continue to face pressures on their census, working with Emergisoft is one strategy that can help them maintain a high level of service and quality for their patients."
