Cigna HealthCare has signed a contract with St John's Health System, whereby Cigna members will be able to visit any of St John's six hospitals throughout southwest Missouri, effective July 15, 2008.
The non-exclusive contract encompasses all of St John's Health System's hospitals and affiliated physician practices. As of July 15, 2008, St John's Health System will be the only health system in Cigna's southwest Missouri network.
Frank Monahan, president and general manager of Cigna HealthCare of Missouri, said: "Our goal is to offer employers and members an expansive provider network. The addition of St John's six hospitals to Cigna's network furthers our ability to offer members quality care."
