Help Give Care Services a Stronger Voice
REDCAR and Cleveland residents are being urged to have more of a say on how their health and social care services are planned and run.
A series of meetings have been set up to create a Local Involvement Network (LINk) in the area.
The group brings together councillors, the former Patients’ Forum, Carers Together, Redcar and Cleveland MIND, Redcar and Cleveland ROC, and many other groups.
The council’s cabinet member for health and social well-being Councillor Helen McLuckie, said: “LINk will be run by local people and local groups to give communities a stronger voice and bring real accountability to the health and social care system.”
For more information about the LINk, contact the Council’s business planning and development officer, Val Mitchell, on 01642 444238.
