The Women's Health II Medical Education Network Raises Awareness About the Diagnosis and Management of Women's Health Issues

Posted on: Tuesday, 22 April 2008, 09:01 CDT

MONTVALE, N.J., April 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Primary care clinicians need to focus on three key areas in women's health -- bacterial vaginosis, maternal nutritional status, and anemia. Clinicians, in tandem with ob/gyns and other specialists, have to work together to raise awareness about women's health requirements and to provide optimum patient care.

To meet the needs of healthcare providers, The Journal of Family Practice and OBG Management have published a series of continuing medical education newsletters to help clinicians better identify, treat, and manage these key issues in women's health.

The Women's Health Medical Education Network newsletters were published in three installments -- September, November, and December 2007. These important publications are now available online at http://www.jfponline.com/pages.asp?id=1061 and at http://www.obgmanagement.com/pages.asp?id=2787

The Journal of Family Practice, a peer-reviewed journal distributed to 96,000 primary care physicians, and OBG Management, a peer-reviewed journal distributed to 40,000 has collaborated with The Chatham Institute, a medical education company, to develop this journal supplement. It was supported by an educational grant from Ther-Rx Corporation.

Nurse practitioners and physician assistants can find this publication at apctoday.com, an online resource for advanced practice clinicians.

The Journal of Family Practice and OBG Management are published by Dowden Health Media, a Division of Lebhar-Friedman, Inc.
