Mylan Granted Approval for Felodipine Extended-Release Tablets

Mylan Pharmaceuticals has received final approval from the FDA for its abbreviated new drug application for felodipine extended-release tablets USP, 2.5mg, 5mg and 10mg, for the treatment of hypertension.
Felodipine extended-release tablets are the generic version of AstraZeneca Pharmaceutical’s Plendil extended-release tablets.
The company will begin shipping the product immediately.
