Altius Health Plans Extends Agreement With My ePHIT to Provide Members With Online Nutrition and Fitness Coaching

SALT LAKE CITY, March 14 /PRNewswire/ -- My ePHIT (Personal Health Improvement Training http://www.myephit.com/), the pioneer in personal health improvement training, announced today that Altius Health Plans, a Utah-based health maintenance organization (HMO) and one of the Coventry Health Care health plans serving approximately 192,000 members, has extended its contract with the company through 2007. Under terms of the agreement, My ePHIT will provide online wellness benefits to many of Altius' members wishing to improve their health and overall well-being, while helping to keep their insurance premiums at a minimum.

Altius, which is expanding to Idaho and Wyoming this year, will offer access to My ePHIT as a free, value-added service to many of its members.

The KidPHIT portion provides parents with Activity Calendars and Nutrition Navigators to help children under 12 to develop strong habits of active living and good behaviors and rewards children who succeed in meeting their goals. The TeenPHIT segment is customized for individuals 13-17 years of age. Each FamilyPHIT program is customized for each family unit based on guidelines from the My ePHIT Advisory Board of registered dieticians, exercise physiologists and PhDs.
