ACE Life Enhances Group Critical Illness Plan

April 24, 2008

ACE Life, an operating division of the ACE Group of Companies, has introduced Carepath’s Navigation System as an additional feature to its group critical illness plan, Spectrum.

The system is a network of cancer specialists including world-renowned oncology physicians and highly trained oncology nurses. Additionally, the system provides individuals who have been recently diagnosed with cancer with one-on-one telephonic counseling, guidance and support through the stages of treatment.

The system is designed to help reduce the physical, emotional and productivity impact of a cancer diagnosis by ensuring a patient’s medical and emotional needs are met in a timely and effective manner.

Terri Mitchell, executive vice president and COO of ACE Life, said: “Adding Carepath’s Navigation System to our already robust Spectrum group critical illness plan will allow our clients to offer their employees a level of care that, until now, was unavailable in a critical illness product.

“As the incidence of cancer is poised to surpass all other forms of critical illness, implementing the system’s employee retention and return to work strategies is timely.”
