ACE Life, an operating division of the ACE Group of Companies, has introduced Carepath's Navigation System as an additional feature to its group critical illness plan, Spectrum.
The system is a network of cancer specialists including world-renowned oncology physicians and highly trained oncology nurses. Additionally, the system provides individuals who have been recently diagnosed with cancer with one-on-one telephonic counseling, guidance and support through the stages of treatment.
The system is designed to help reduce the physical, emotional and productivity impact of a cancer diagnosis by ensuring a patient's medical and emotional needs are met in a timely and effective manner.
Terri Mitchell, executive vice president and COO of ACE Life, said: "Adding Carepath's Navigation System to our already robust Spectrum group critical illness plan will allow our clients to offer their employees a level of care that, until now, was unavailable in a critical illness product.
"As the incidence of cancer is poised to surpass all other forms of critical illness, implementing the system's employee retention and return to work strategies is timely."
