HANOI, March 15 (Xinhua) -- Nearly 21 out of 100,000 Vietnamese residents suffer from breast cancer, which is the most common kind of cancer among local women.
More than 600 Vietnamese women receive breast cancer treatment at the K Hospital in Hanoi capital city, which specializes in cancer treatment every year, local newspaper Pioneer reported Tuesday.
Groups with high risks of contracting the disease include women aged over 50 and those who give first birth after the age of 30.
Vietnam now has a population of more than 82 million, of whom over 41.7 million are women.
