WALKING: The Early Birds, Ephrata Community Hospital's walking club for senior citizens, will meet at 7 a.m. Monday, May 12, for a walk, followed by breakfast and a speaker at the hospital, 169 Martin Ave., Ephrata.
New members should contact their physician and the hospital's Wellness Center before coming out to walk. Membership costs $25 per year.

PROSTATE: Lancaster Us TOO Prostate Cancer Community Network will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, in the third-floor conference room at the Lancaster General Health Campus, 2100 Harrisburg Pike.
Dr. Andrew Axilrod, a urologist and director of male sexual health at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, will speak on Erective Dysfunction Following Prostate Cancer Treatment.

CHILD LOSS: Compassionate Friends, for parents who have experienced the death of a child at any age, will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, at New Life Assembly of God, 1991 Old Philadelphia Pike.

CPR: Ephrata Community Hospital will offer a renewal course in cardiopulmonary resuscitation for healthcare providers from 6 to 10 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, at the Cocalico Center for Health, 63 W. Church St., Stevens.
The course is offered in conjunction with the American Heart Association. A one-way air valve face mask is required and will be available for $10.

SCAMS: St. Anne's Retirement Community, 3952 Columbia Ave., will present a program on how to avoid scams from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 13.
Joyce O'Brien, community liaison for the Office of the Attorney General, will present Senior Crime Prevention, a lively, interactive training session from the state's newly created Elder Abuse Unit. The program enlightens seniors about the latest scams and how to avoid becoming a victim.
