Health ministry officials have announced the registration of 200 new cases of AIDS in Afghanistan. The spokesman for the Afghan Health Ministry, Dr Abdullah Fahim, told the media that with these 200 new cases, the official number of people affected with AIDS reaches over 400 in the country. He said that according to their estimations, the number of AIDS affected people has hit 3,000.

Illegal sexual relations, the transfer of blood from one person to another, and re-using medical equipment, such as syringes, are factors behind the transfer of the virus called HIV from one person to another.

Statistics show that over 33m people are suffering from AIDS in the world. In addition, this monster of diseases still keeps increasing.
