Hawaii Health Systems Corporation Extends Supply Chain Management Agreement With MedAssets to 2012

MedAssets (NASDAQ: MDAS) announced today that Hawaii Health Systems Corporation (HHSC) has extended its relationship with MedAssets Supply Chain Systems, a MedAssets company, for group purchasing and supply chain management services to 2012.
HHSC is the nation's fourth largest public hospital system with 12 facilities located in five regions of Hawaii. As a community hospital system, HHSC undertakes the state's mission to provide and enhance accessible comprehensive services that are quality driven, consumer-focused and cost-effective.
MedAssets provides a flexible approach for the state's community-hospital system to contract with national and local vendors, while obtaining the best pricing possible for supplies and equipment for its acute, long-term and rural care facilities.
MedAssets Supply Chain Systems will serve as the primary GPO for all areas of HHSC, including capital equipment, clinical pharmacy, laboratory, and imaging services.
