Praxis, a company specializing in centralized patient recruitment for clinical research studies, is providing services to a rapidly growing biotechnology company for three national medical research studies. The studies explore a possible treatment for an important women's health issue.
After an in-depth feasibility analysis of all protocols, Praxis created one umbrella recruitment program uniquely targeted to the patient population required for each protocol. Praxis is managing the enrollment program and providing a variety of recruitment and retention tactics including website development, advertising, patient education materials, direct marketing, and centralized recruitment center management, delivering pre-qualified study candidates to the appropriate research sites. Patients will participate for up to five years in this comprehensive program.
"These studies are significant to us in a number of ways," said David L. Fox, President and CEO of Praxis. "This program cultivates a new relationship with an exciting biotechnology company and enhances our expertise in the area of women's health -- an area we have significant experience in. These studies will also benefit from PraxisDirect 2.0, our recently-enhanced study management technology that offers our sponsor the unique convenience of logging in to one place to access enrollment metrics from all three study protocols in the program at a glance. We've been very excited to have the opportunity to strategically create this umbrella program for 3 different protocols, maximizing our sponsor's return on investment."
