Misys Qualifies for Ohio State Medical Association Standards of Excellence Program

Misys Healthcare Systems, a subsidiary of Misys plc (FTSE: MSY.L), a market leader in healthcare IT, today announced its inclusion in the Ohio State Medical Association's (OSMA) Standards of Excellence Program. The pioneering initiative, available exclusively to OSMA members, will help ease physicians' concerns over investing significant resources in EMR implementation. As a qualifying solution, physicians who implement Misys EMR® or Misys MyWay™ will benefit from preferred pricing and other physician-friendly contract terms.

Misys will provide continuous upgrades as well as any mandated changes to OSMA member physicians using Misys software at no additional cost. Misys will also grant physicians preferred access to annual support, interface modifications, and payment terms. Under the Standards of Excellence Program, Misys will offer a tiered payment plan based upon contract signing, software installation, training and utilization.

To be recognized as a participant in the OSMA's program, Misys agreed to meet the Standards of Excellence criteria, including such terms as transfer of ownership of software licenses and the cost of future licenses. Also, Misys EMR and Misys MyWay products are certified by the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT), a requirement for participating vendors.
