What’s in Your Fridge?
FASHION designer Elizabeth Emanuel is probably best known for creating Princess Diana’s stunning ivory taffeta and antique lace wedding dress with former husband, David Emanuel. The 54-year-old was in Cardiff recently to release a collection of four wedding gowns, each priced at pounds 495, at high street store Bhs. What’s in your fridge at the moment?
My fridge is a big mess at the moment. I’ve got lots of fresh salad stuff, soya milk, Food Doctor which is a healthy microwave meal, goji juice, pomegranates. It’s quite healthy I suppose.
What food can’t you live without and why do you love it so much?
White tea. It’s like green tea, only different. I don’t drink coffee and I try to avoid milk and dairy, and it’s just nice!
What do you always leave on the side of your plate? What do you hate?
Actually I like most things – that’s the problem! And if I do leave anything, it’s so the cats can eat it.
Where’s your favourite place to eat out?
We don’t eat out that much. We sometimes go to Raoul’s, near where I work, or we get Feng’s sushi delivered.
Where’s the best place for a first date?
Wow, you’re talking a while ago! I would say just go somewhere you both enjoy.
Who would you invite to dinner?
I think it would have been interesting to meet Stanley Kubrick. I’m very into film and he was a legend.
What’s your favourite childhood sweet or crisps?
Liquorice Allsorts
What’s the ideal breakfast in bed?
I don’t think I’ve ever had breakfast in bed!
Tomato sauce or brown sauce?
Both. No meal complete without.
Sweet or savoury?
Sweet I think. Green & Blacks chocolate, especially.
