Gears Offers Summer Programs
Greater Elizabethtown Area Recreation and Community Services is offering several camps for kids this summer.
A volleyball camp for boys and girls will be held Monday to Friday, June 16-20, at Elizabethtown Area High School, 600 E. High St. Sixth- through eighth-graders will meet from 5 to 7 p.m. Ninth- through 12th-graders will meet from 7 to 9 p.m.
The camp is run by high school coaches Danielle Bert and Bobby Crick. No previous experience is required.
Cost is $50 for residents, $55 for non-residents. A T-shirt is included.
A swim camp for children ages 8 to 14 will run from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. Monday to Friday, June 9-13, at the Masonic Village Conference Center Pool, 1 Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown.
Costs is $20 for residents, $23 for non-residents. No previous experience is required.
GEARS will also offer two sessions of a Spanish for Kids program at the GEARS Community Center Green Room, 70 S. Poplar St., Elizabethtown.
The first session will be held Mondays and Wednesdays, June 16- 25. The second session runs Mondays and Wednesdays, July 14-23. Children ages 4 to 6 will meet from 6:15 to 7 p.m. Ages 7 to 12 will meet from 7:15 to 8 p.m.
Cost is $15 per session for residents, $17 for non-residents. No previous experience is required.
