COLUMBIA, S.C., May 20 /PRNewswire/ — Carolina Care Plan members are being offered free telephone counseling and nicotine replacement therapy patches to help them quit using tobacco.

Members have access to the SuperWell QuitLine, Carolina Care Plan’s tobacco-cessation program.

To enroll, Carolina Care Plan members can call toll-free (866) 845-7702. When they enroll in the program members will receive:

   -- Support and advice with up to five coaching sessions with trained      health coaches, as well as unlimited inbound calls to the QuitLine      during regular hours. QuitLine hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.      to 11 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.   -- A four-week supply of nicotine replacement therapy (nicotine patches)      at no cost. If a member continues with health coaching, he or she will      receive a second four-week supply, if needed. Members must be medically      eligible to receive nicotine patches.   -- A personalized quit plan with educational, self-help materials.   -- The latest information about medications to help them quit.
