Grand Parade. Theme is “Transportation: Past, Present & Future.” Starts at noon, ends about 2 p.m. Begins at Alabama Street and Cornwall Avenue. Heads down Cornwall to East Champion Street to North State Street, ending at York Street. Bring lawn chairs and arrive early for front-row seats along the parade route.Portions of Cornwall and nearby streets closed as early as 7 a.m. Main route closure from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

It All Ends in Fairhaven Festival, 10 a.m.-8 p.m., Fairhaven Village Green, 10th Street at Mill Avenue, with music, food and craft vendors, kids’ activities. Beer garden at 11th Street and McKenzie Avenue with music. Take shuttle from the C parking lot at Western Washington University to the event and back, 75 cents each way or bus pass. www.fairhaven.com.
