Seminars Focus on Heart, Celiac Diseases, Arthritis
Arthritis, celiac disease and heart disease in women will be the topics of three free health seminars offered in April by Lancaster General Hospital.
Each program begins at 7 p.m.
“Managing Arthritis” will take place Tuesday, April 5, at Elizabethtown Public Library’s Community Room, 10 S. Market St. Dr. Sandhya Adusumilli of Lancaster Rheumatology Associates will discuss symptoms and treatments for various types of arthritis.
Dr. Atilla Devenyi of Regional Gastroenterology Associates of Lancaster Ltd. will address “Gluten Free Health: Understanding Celiac Disease” on Tuesday, April 12, at Salem United Church of Christ, 2312 Marietta Ave. Devenyi will discuss symptoms, diagnosis and treatments.
Dr. Michael D. Lesko, Cardiac Consultants, and Dr. Roland J. Larrabee Jr. of Walter L. Aument Family Health Center, will present a program on “Women & Heart Disease” Tuesday, April 26, at Faith Reformed Presbyterian Church, 611 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville. Attendees will learns ways to prevent, detect and treat heart problems, and can take part in a free blood pressure and risk factor screening.
