Aurora Dedicated Breast MRI Now Available at the Comprehensive Breast Center of The Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Center

Aurora Imaging Technology Inc. today announced the Aurora(R) 1.5Tesla Dedicated Breast MRI System has been installed and is now available to patients at the Comprehensive Breast Center of The Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Center.
The Cancer Center was founded for the purpose of bringing cancer care closer to home by making available state-of-the-art technologies for early detection, diagnosis and treatment of cancer. More than twenty years later, the Cancer Center remains dedicated to providing the highest quality patient care, cancer education and research to continually raise the standard of cancer care in the area. The addition of the Aurora System adds to this philosophy. The Aurora System is the only Food and Drug Administration (FDA) cleared dedicated breast MRI system specifically designed for the detection, diagnosis and treatment monitoring of breast disease.
"We have been performing breast MRI for approximately three years using a whole body system, and although we were obtaining good images, we wanted a state-of-the-art system that was dedicated to the breast," said Gary Aragon, M.D., breast diagnostic specialist.
