Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) and Thornberry Ltd Announce Automated Interface Between Healthcare Software Programs
Posted on: Thursday, 29 May 2008, 09:01 CDT
Strategic Healthcare Programs, a provider of real-time clinical and financial performance data services and Thornberry Ltd, a developer and marketer of intelligent, management information systems for the home healthcare and hospice industry, today announced implementation of their new web interface that enables clinician-level analysis of point of care patient data.
The interface was implemented at LaPorte Regional Health System's VNA HomeCare and HospiceCare in Michigan City, Indiana. "LaPorte has been using SHP for some time," said executive director Virginia Davis, "and the new automated web interface speeds the data transfer and also enables clinician-level analysis of documentation. It is saving staff a lot of time that used to be spent looking up clinician and primary nurse."
"The best way for us to continue to provide outstanding service to our customers is to join forces with award-winning companies in the industry," said Tom Peth. "SHP is a leader in helping home care agencies and hospices improve patient care and improve their bottom line at the same time. Changes to PPS for 2008 mean agencies are looking even more closely at greater efficiency and cost savings as they look to improve performance."
The interface with SHP uses secure Microsoft Web Services technology to transfer. Thornberry is able to instantly send XML-formatted data, and SHP reports actionable data back to the user in real-time. The interface runs in tandem with current NDoc OASIS export functionality and is transparent to the user.
Barbara Rosenblum, CEO of SHP, said, "What a pleasure it has been to work with Thornberry on this software interface that uses industry best-of-breed technology. The new interface increases the power and value of both NDoc and SHP. Together we now offer a more powerful service for home health agencies when they need it most."
