Police Find Woman’s Body, Injured Man in Shadyside
City police who were called Thursday evening to check on a disturbance in a room in a Shadyside apartment complex found the body of a woman and a man with a head injury, emergency officials said.
Police were called at 8:41 p.m. for the report of people screaming and the sounds of doors being slammed inside the room on the fourth floor of the Hampshire Hall apartments in the 4700 block of Centre Avenue, emergency officials said.
The body of a woman who appeared to have head injuries was found inside the apartment. The man, who suffered a severe head laceration, was taken to UPMC Presbyterian hospital for treatment. He was to be questioned by detectives after receiving medical care.
