Dishing Up a Dose of Poison
June 1, 2008
VOMITING, stomach pain and diarrhoea are the most common symptoms of food poisoning, caused by bacteria where kitchen hygiene is poor.
Victims also risk fever, chills, dehydration, aches, tiredness and damage to the nervous system. Illness can occur within 30 minutes or take days, and you might feel wretched for up to a week.
At its worst it will kill, particularly hospital patients who are already ill and vulnerable.
