Protest Over Plans to Close Dublin Cancer Hospital

Supporters of St. Luke’s cancer hospital will march through the city from one o’clock this afternoon to highlight their concerns over the transfer of cancer treatment services.The Rathgar-based hospital is due to close in 2011 and its cancer services will be moved to St. James’ hospital and Beaumont hospital. The Chair of the Save St. Luke’s campaign, Rory Hearne has described the closure as a disgrace.
