Hospital Site Leased

The development of Motueka’s community hospital has passed another milestone, with the Ministry of Health formally agreeing to lease the site to the Friends of Motueka Hospital Trust. Construction of the 44-bed facility began in February. It will operate alongside the existing hospital and will provide aged and dementia care, palliative care beds and associated family rooms, and beds into which GPs can admit patients.
