Dialysis Machines in Dist Hospitals Soon
PATNA: In a bid to provide quality services in government hospitals, the health department has decided to install dialysis machines in all the district hospitals of Bihar.
Health secretary Deepak Kumar on Wednesday said the process for procuring dialysis machines had already been started.
He said to ensure quick delivery of medical facilities; the department had opted for outsourcing. The facilities like radiological and pathological investigations and those of ambulances were available right from medical college hospitals to the primary health centres.
The health department has also taken steps to provide residential facilities to the doctors posted in far-flung districts and blocks. Applications have been invited from house owners interested in renting out their dwellings for this purpose.
These applications are to be submitted to the district health committees which have been authorised to make a final selection. The department has also decided to appoint two Grades A nurses in each of the additional primary health centres.
According to official sources, the health department would appoint 2,021 nurses on contract/honorarium basis for this purpose. District-level committees, excluding Patna district, headed by the respective district magistrates (DMs) would short-list the applications received for appointment of Grade A nurse.
