April 13, 2005

Be featured in The Nation’s Health

AS YOU HOLD your celebrations for National Public Health Week, be sure to keep The Nation’s Health in mind.

An upcoming issue of the newspaper will feature coverage of National Public Health Week events that were held across the country, and your activities could be among them. After your event is over, send us a short summary of your activity, when it was held, who was involved, what the goals were and what was accomplished.

“If your community, health department or university took part in National Public Health Week, now is your chance to let the nation know,” said Michele Late, editor of The Nation’s Health. “Whether you held an art contest, hosted a health screening day or reached out to residents, we’d love to share your events with our readers.”

National Public Health Week photos and artwork are welcome. (If possible, photos should be scanned at a resolution of 300 dpi. Send your photos as JPEG attachments to your e-mail.) Please note if a photo credit should be given.

Send your information by April 25 to Editor, The Nation’s Health, 800 I St., N.W., Washington DC 20001-3710; or e-mail to .
