Anthem in Dayton, Ohio, Offers Employers Ideas to Cut Healthcare Costs

Jun. 16–Employers can learn about the health-promotion elements of Anthem 360-degree Health at a free June 25 seminar from the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. The disease-management component has saved company $280 for every $100 spent, by reducing medical expenses and improving productivity for people with asthma, diabetes, heart disease and other chronic conditions.
Other elements of 360-degree Health include health coaching, preventive-care reminders and a 24/7 NurseLine for answering health questions. Chamber president and CEO Phil Parker called the package “a great tool for employers to lower health costs and maintain a more productive work force.”
