University of Colorado Hospital’s inpatient admissions were 7 percent more than forecast and emergency room visits were 20 percent more than expected in the hospital’s first year at the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora. The increase comes as the hospital accommodates slightly more patients than the old facility at East Ninth Avenue and Colorado Boulevard. Surgeries also rose more than 7 percent above forecasts in certain departments, the hospital said.
