Benefit Fund is Established for Six-Year-Old

June 20, 2008

A benefit fund has been set up for a girl who was hospitalized after almost drowning in a swimming pool.

Six-year-old Trinity Dickerson is at St. Alexius Medical Center, where she is in the intensive care unit. The hospital could not release any information, said Jamie Olson, marketing specialist at St. Alexius. The hospital could not release information because of the Healthcare Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, she said.

A flier for the benefit fund said Trinity is coming out of a coma. She is the daughter of Kristina and Brandon Dickerson of Bismarck.

The benefit account was set up at American Bank Center to help the family with expenses. People can make donations to the Trinity Dickerson Benefit Fund at any American Bank Center branch or mail it to the branch at 325 W. Arbor Ave., Bismarck, N.D. 58504.

She was at the Mandan Community Center with a Kids Club group from Riverside Elementary School on Friday. The Mandan Police Department received a 911 call at 1:46 p.m. about a near drowning. When EMS and ambulance arrived, she was already receiving CPR, said Mandan Police Chief Dennis Bullinger on Friday.
