Card Contest to Help Charity

June 24, 2008

Santa has made an unseasonal visit to a Swansea superstore.

He was at Fforestfach to launch a Tesco Kids’ Design a Card for Christmas competition, which will raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The charity is calling on artists, aged 12 or under, to create a colourful Christmas card. Finalists will be chosen from around the UK, with the winning design sold in all Tesco stores. Jane Griffiths, of Marie Curie Cancer Care, said: “Fifty pence from the sale of each card will help provide nursing care at home for terminally ill patients.”
